Wolcott: Passed away at Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus after a long illness on May 17, 2010. Joan is survived by her devoted husband of 56 years, Robert; her children Debra (Clifford) Paige, Robert Nihoff and Timothy Nihoff; grandchildren Cory (Lora) Jarvis and Jeremy “Jamey” Valentine; great grandsons Nicholas Hartnett, Zen Jarvis and their siblings; several nieces, nephews, sister-in-laws as well as friends of a lifetime. Joan was predeceased by her parents, and by her only sibling Robert Barber.
Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Joan’s Life, 3 p.m. Sunday at the COLVIN-ROBERTSON-NORTON FUNERAL HOME, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. Joan’s interment will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at White Haven Memorial Park, Marsh Road, Pittsford. Donations in her memory may be directed to Hospice, or to the Activity Fund at Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus.
