I found out last night.
Joanie was my extended family. No one else in my family ever met her, I'm sad to say.
But I gave her pictures of everyone and she always asked about everyone. She was the first person in my long life to regularly mail me a birthday card ON my birthday! She loved ladybugs and hated thunderstorms. She was mad about Elvis and country music. We had many a laugh many a brownie or a rice krispie treat together and a few really good games of pass-the-pigs. She almost got me hooked on General Hospital because it was so fun to watch together. She was that "sweetheart" everybody who knew her loved to love.
