Sodus: Beloved husband, father and grandfather. At age 73, after a courageous battle with ALS, died peacefully on May 17, 2010. Survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Sandra (Featherly); loving children, Steve (Wendy) Kirin of Naples and Tracy (Michael) Pezzimenti of Webster; cherished granddaughters, Sarah and Taylor Kirin, and Madeline, Grace and Ava Pezzimenti; sister, Frances Gutschow; brothers-in-law, Gary (Kate) Featherly and Warner “Sonny” Featherly; sister-in-law, Phyllis (George) Lent and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Kirin was an avid golfer with 4 hole-in-ones, and coached Little League baseball and American Legion baseball for many years. His devotion and love for his family was the foundation of his life.
A Memorial Service will be held Monday, May 24th at 2:00 pm at the United Third Methodist Church in Sodus. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the ALS Association Upstate New York Chapter, 890 Seventh North Street, Suite 108, Liverpool, NY 13088 or MDA/ALS Division for research at http://www.als-mda.org/default.htm.
