Sodus: Passed away on Wednesday March 11th at her home in Sodus. She was 90 years old. Marjorie is survived by her son Charles (Poetre) Shaw of Liverpool; 9 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 1 niece; 1 nephew; and Jake the Dog.
A graduate of Syracuse University School of Nursing, she was a Registered Nurse who was the supervising nurse in the Maternity Ward at Samaritan Hospital in Watertown. She later transitioned to Geriatric Nursing at Samaritan Keep Long Term Care Facility in Watertown.
Marjorie was predeceased by her husband Dr. Robert Shaw in 1979; sons Edward in 2011 and Thomas in 1978; and by her parents Edward and Margarett Hoste.
Visitation will be held Saturday March 21st from 10 – 11 a.m. with her funeral service following immediately thereafter from the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street, Sodus. Spring interment will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery.
