RED CREEK, NY
Virginia Teeter, 59, passed away on Friday after a battle with cancer. She is predeceased by her parents, Glenn and Anna Pickard; brothers, David and Jim. She is survived by her husband, Dave; children Kim (Zachary) Decker, Eric (Sara), and David (Kelly); nine grandchildren; brothers Harry (Karin), Rich (Darlene), sisters, Linda (Bob) Hill, Edith Gleeson, Joan Teeter and Mary Pickard. She was an education advocate for SUNY Cortland with the MEOP Foundation for 30 years. She was most fulfilled by helping the migrant families, local community, and school systems. Calling hours will be 5-7 pm on Friday at First Baptist Church of Wolcott, 6025 New Hartford St. Wolcott, NY in the Sanctuary. A memorial service will begin at 11am at the church with a reception lunch to follow on Saturday. In lieu of flowers, a call to action is encouraged; please donate one hour of your time to an organization of your choosing.
