Obituary of Norman D. Gay

Savannah: Norman D. Gay, 70, passed away on December 2, 2015 at Newark-Wayne Community Hospital following a brief illness. Born July 29, 1945 to the late Donald and Lois Gay, he was a 1963 graduate of the Savannah High School and a 1965 gradute of Paul Smith’s College. Norman served 2 years in the Army, and was the owner of Gay-Barcomb Surveying for 40 years, retiring in April 2015. Norman is survived by his daughters Marlo (Chris) Marriott of Seneca Falls and Jennifer (Jason) Buisch of Savannah; brother Jon (Marilyn) Gay; sister Bonnie (Richard) Sloan; grandchildren Gabby and Holly Marriott, Tanner, Zachary and Leah Buisch; great-granddaughter Sophie Marriott; sisters-in-law Gloria (Cliff) White and Sandy (Dutch) Carr; brother-in-law Casey VanLeeuwen, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. Norman was predeceased by his wife Jacqueline Gay in 2010, his parents Donald and Lois Gay and sister-in-law Sylvia VanLeeuwen. Family and friends are invited to call on Monday, December 7th from 12-2 p.m. with his funeral service immediately following at the Norton Funeral Home, 13081 West Church Street in Savannah. Interment with Military Honors will be at the Butler-Savannah Cemetery on Route 89.
