Obituary of Earl O. Mitchell

Sodus: Earl O'Neil Mitchell was born on April 17, 1963 he was the third born to Mr. & Mrs. James and Martha Mitchell formerly of Sanford Florida, and now residing in Sodus, New York. Earl graduated from Sodus High School in 1982, and was later married to Lori Bowman Mitchell. Earl had resided in Philadelphia and in San Jose prior to moving back to Sodus to reside with his parents. Earl's joy was helping raise his many nieces and nephew's. He was always willing to help his family, and reach out and talk over the phone. For many years Earl spent his days going in and out of the hospital fighting Sickle Cells Disease. His fight is now over. No more pain, no more suffering. He has fought the good fight. Earl was a vital member of the Mitchell family and will be dearly missed. Earl is predeceased by sister Rosemary Dekent Mitchell Black, and his brother Kennie Lee Mitchell. He is survived by his father James Mitchell Sr. and mother Martha V. Smith Mitchell; Brothers and Sisters, James Mitchell Jr. (Denise), Pearl Jenkins, Bennie L. Mitchell (Kristina), Tammy Mitchell, Joel C. Mitchell (Njoki P Karoki-Mitchell); nieces Amanda Sue Black, Angela Mitchell, Melissa Mitchell, Jazzmin Mitchell, Essence Mitchell, Elaina Mitchell; nephews Derrick Black, Joseph Delisar, Marcus Mitchell, Ryane Black, Casey Black, Justin JJ Mitchell, Benjamin James Mitchell; other great nephews and great nieces; a host of cousins, aunts, and friends. No prior visitation. A graveside committal will be Monday, November 9th, 1 p.m. at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. Arr: Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.
