Larry and family,
I don't know you all very well and have had limited contact with Peggy these past years. I last seen her at Carl's funeral and before that at a clambake at Tommy's place at Naples.
I'm Peggy's 1st cousin, our mothers were sisters. My mother was Mabel Johnson.
When Tom called me And was telling me the tragic news, I could hardly listen. All the visions of me and Peggy during our childhood and into our teens kept flashing though my mind. She was just a year older than I. As young children we played together often as we lived very close together. As teens in high school we didn't hang out together but still managed to have a special relationship. Most people in high school were unaware that we were cousins, so depending on who seen the other one first we would shout out some remark to the astonishment of others and then smile at each other as others looked on perplexed. You must know of Peggy's sharp wit and I must have a little of that too because it was great fun for both of us.
My daughter, Amanda, has met Janet when they both worked at Strong. It's strange that with the limited contact I've had with Peggy these past years what an impact this news has had on me. Something about blood and history in our formative years I guess.
Our prayers and thoughts are with you all.
Eddie and Dolores Johnson
