Sodus: Cornelius DeFisher Jr., age 83 past away suddenly on August 13, 2010. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Martha DeFisher; his children Linda (Bruce) Shepard, Douglas (Char) DeFisher, Dale (Nitzan) DeFisher and Deborah (Michael) Wheeler; grandchildren Miranda (Jason) Foss, Erica (Mark), Jennifer (David), Nicole (Myke); great-grandchildren Dylan, Dianna and Emily.
Cornelius was long time retired owner of DeFisher’s Greenhouse in Sodus. He was an Army veteran having served post World War II in occupied Germany.
Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday (8/17) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at Norton Funeral Home,
45 West Main Street, Sodus. His funeral service will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday from the funeral home. Interment with military honors will be at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions if memory of Cornelius should be directed to the Sodus Town Ambulance Corps, or to the Golisano Children’s Hospital, c/o University of Rochester Medical Center.
