My deepest sympathy to all the family. My connection with Steve goes back to the 1950's and early sixties when my grandfather had a trailer at Sills shore on the bay. We spent a lot of time down there as kids. Steve and I always did think alike. Perhaps that's why I also got into Scuba diving and hunting. I'm sorry I will be unable to attend the memorial but you are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Families of Steve, Our thoughts are with you. My Dad, Joel Roemer, was a good friend and huge fan of Stew. Sill's Marina and Sodus/the Baystreet hold many fond memories for us and Dad's boat American Eagle/"Big Red". My Dad and I last saw Steve at the Baystreet in 2001--when we stopped in for a glass of "Milk". He was a great guy and was so excited to know of our Sill/Sodus connection. We wish fair winds and following seas to Steve and all of you.
Fondly and with sadness,
Michele Roemer Johansson

Sharon and family,
We were sad to hear of Steve's passing. We still think of you, Steve, Tom and Todd working on the breakwall for Grandpa Phil Sarver and then for us. Steve always had a good story to tell.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

My condolences go out to all the family - Sill family, Pyle family and the many friends Steve had during his life. Steve was a social person and kind to those he came in contact with. How I remember the fond memories of Steve when we were young at Stewart Sill's Marina with our boats as kids. Even the old ice boat and horsing around on the frozen bay in the winter months. So many memories so many good times! God Bless...Stephen Pope Jr
