Savannah/Lyons: Passed away Monday August 17th at age 53, following a brief battle with cancer. Bruce was born in Lyons, NY, son of Charles and Jean (Stoker) Gansz. He was a 1974 graduate of Clyde-Savannah High School, an avid outdoorsman, Harley-Davidson enthusiast, and a 29 year employee of Pliant Corporation in Macedon. Besides his parents, Bruce is survived by daughters Haylee and Shauna; sisters Donna (Sherman) Jones, Lynn (Daniel) McKinney; brother Alan (Michelle Waterman) Gansz; step-children Amanda, Matthew and Stacee; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Family and friends are invited to call, Thursday from 7-9 p.m. and Friday from noon-2 p.m. at the Colvin-Norton Funeral Home, West Church Street in Savannah, where his funeral will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be at the Crusoe Cemetery. Contributions in Bruce’s memory should be directed to Lifetime Care, 1120 South Main Street, Newark, NY 14513, or to a charity of one’s choice.
