Alton: Age 71, born on July 1, 1938 went to be with the Lord on August 1, 2009 after a courageous battle with cancer. Husband of Marie Lefever, father of Dan (Gail) Lefever of North Rose, Kathy (Gordon) Pierce of PA, Julie (Randy) Phillips of Sodus, Andy (Tracy) Lefever of Marion, Jonathan (Cora) Lefever of Wolcott, Elisabeth Gasper of GA, Zaneta (Bob) Simpson of OH and Chris Lefever of GA. He was also Poppy to 17 grandchildren; brother to Gale (Larry) Wilcox of Ontario.
Peter was retired from the NYSDOT. An avid outdoorsman and farmer, he also enjoyed spending his time with family and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday (Aug 7th) from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus. Peter’s funeral will be held Saturday, 11 a.m. from the Alton Gospel Tabernacle Church, 5849 Route 14, Alton. Interment will be at the York Settlement Road Cemetery. Donations in Peter’s memory may be sent to the Alton Fire Department, or to a charity of one’s choice.
