I will always have fond memories of my Aunt Della and Uncle "Crum". I would always laugh when I said his name when I saw him because it was my special nickname for him. He had a heart as big as the ocean although he did not like to show it. He was someone who was all bark and no bite. He could be gruff but would do anything for you. He put up with me every summer when I would come stay with them. He would take us swimming in the lake. I also remember playing baseball in the yard. It's hard to see the playing field now that the trees have gotten so big. on the Fourth of July we would play with sparklers and firecrackers. That was a novelty because we couldn't have fireworks in Delaware. After I got married and had kids, whenever we would go up to visit, he and Aunt Della would always get the whole family together for a family reunion and have a potluck supper. Uncle Crum, I will miss you dearly although I have special memories of you that will last a lifetime. Say hi to Aunt Della for me!
