Obituary of Arnold C. Townsend

Savannah: Passed away December 6, 2014, age 84. He was predeceased by his wife Barbara (Coon) Townsend, sister Rebecca Donselaar, and brother Wayne Townsend. He is survived by son Kevin (Roxanne) Townsend, Rochester, NY, daughter Kathleen (Paul) Blender, Wilmington, NC, son Jeffrey (Wilma) Townsend, Victor, NY; grandchildren Melissa Townsend, Alexander Townsend, Anton (Dawn) Blender, Seth Blender, Ramsey (Chris) Carper, Sarah (fiancé Ryan Watson) Townsend, Christopher Townsend, great-grandchildren Olivia and Seeley Carper, and many nieces and nephews. Born in Newark, NY June 25, 1930 to Floyd and Gertrude (Rumsmoke) Townsend, Arnie was a life-long resident of Savannah, NY. He was employed at the Seneca Army Depot for over 35 years as a master mechanic and metrologist . He was a past master of Masonic Lodge #764, Savannah. Arnie loved repairing anything, gardening and camping, but most of all he loved being with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. A service celebrating his life will be held at Savannah Congregational Church, Savannah, NY, Thursday, December 11, 2014 at 11:30AM. Interment will be at Butler-Savannah Cemetery.
