Obituary of Duane A. Kersey

Sodus: Age 74, passed away on Monday November 10th at his residence in Sodus. Born in Ellisburg, New York, he was the son of the late Theodore and Dorothy Larkin Kersey. Duane is survived by his wife Leata, sons Jeffery Kersey, and James B. (Lisa) Kersey; grandchildren Alissa (Sean) Tubbs and James T. Kersey; brothers Theodore Jr., Kenneth, David, Leroy, and Dean; sisters Karen Hart and Janice Sawyer. Duane was predeceased by sisters Helen Taylor and Marjorie Bollinger.
Duane was a veteran of the Air Force having served on active duty from November 1961 through November 1965. His last duty station was at Griffiss AFB in Rome, NY where he was a Military Policeman.
At Duane’s request, there will be no visitation or funeral service. He will be interred with Military Honors at the Sampson Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery. Arr: Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.
