Obituary of Leah Deann Knapp

Sodus Point: Leah Deann Knapp of Sodus Point passed away Sunday September 28, 2014 after a sudden illness. She was surrounded in love and support by family and friends. Born September 14, 1938 in Duchesne Utah. She retired from Xerox after 30 years of dedicated service. She was an active member of Sodus Point Fireman's Auxiliary, CB club and snowmobile club, as well as a union member at Xerox. She was loved and cherished by all those she met. She was a mentor and problem solver. She was predeceased by her Husband Peter L. Knapp Sr, her brothers Lloyd and Edwin Curran, and parents Freda and Lawrence Curran. Leah is survived by sons Peter (Rhonda) Knapp Jr., and Perry (Linda) Knapp; grandchildren Brandi (Henry) Martin, Stephen Bond, Peter (Stephanie) Knapp, Jason Knapp, Michael Bond, Stephanie (Curtis) Shaw, Jodi (Ginger) Knapp, Cassandra Knapp, Kristofer Knapp, and Ashley Petty; great-grandchildren Faith Martin, Cole and Noah Knapp, Aurora Knapp, Liam and Reily Martin, Jacob Shaw, and Jaelyn Knapp; sister Debra Lauderdale; brother Richard Curran; several nieces, nephews and extended family members. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday October 4th, 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 45 West Main Street in Sodus, where her funeral service will be held at the conclusion of visitation. Interment will be at the Spring Lake Cemetery in Conquest.
