Jim and I were good friends in high-school and after graduation. I remember a time when I drove Jim to Newark to buy some clothes fir school. After Jim finished shopping at Ames department store we headed back to my car to head back to Sodus. While walking up to my car I thought I saw an oil leak. Jim put his bag of clothes on top of my car and we both got down and looked fir the oil leak. We determined my car was not leaking oil and we both got in the car a d we drove away. A few miles away Jim realized he left his bag of clothes on the roof of my car. We immediately turned around and tried to find the bag of clothes, but they were no where to be found.
I was swearing and raising a fit about Jim's lost clothes, but Jim was just sitting in the seat next to calmly. I asked him, "aren't you upset about loosing your school clothes you just bought!" He calmly said getting angry about it would not bring them back.
His sage wisdom surprised me and made proud to call him my friend.
Jim and I lost track of each other many, many years ago, but I often thought of him throught the years.

I'm so sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I worked with Jim at wesley Corp for 7 years and I will say there was never a dull moment with him, whether it was standing in the trench below him laying pipe or just listening to a good story over lunch I always had a good time when he was around. To this day I call most sweets "cakey treats" because almost every day at lunch jim would ask me if I would run to the store to get him his cakey treat lol. Overall jim was an awesome guy that I genuinely trusted with my life every day and I will surely miss him.

I remember back in the early 70's when James and John had poison ivy or oak and were in the hospital having wheelchair races. I couldn't join them cuz I had broken my arm. My condolences to the family. May he fly high with the angles
