Joan,
Riley and I miss our front yard talks. You were a great neighbor and caring person.

Joan cleaned my messy art room for over 12 years and always left my sink sparkling. We would often talk when I stayed late after school as she started her night shift. Over the years we became friends and stayed in touch even after I left Bay Trail.
We would exchange cards and gifts for birthdays, and her favorite holiday- Christmas. She loved Christmas. She would show me pictures of her home all lit up and decorated. She crocheted four afghans for our family that we still use and love.
They will continue to remind us of her and her generous spirit.
Joan also loved her animals and was happy to show off pictures of her cats and dogs over the years. She always looked forward to seeing pictures of our kids from the day they were born and as they grew up.
I was happy for her when she retired a few years ago and no longer had to make the long drive home in the middle of the night. Especially when driving on route 104 in the wintertime.
I will always remember her kindness, love of animals, and generosity. May she rest in peace. My condolences to her family and friends.
Sincerely,
Luke Lorenzo

It is with profound sorrow that we remember Joan, whose friendly disposition and humor brightened up our days at the Penfield School District. Her kindness was unparalleled which warmed our hearts immeasurably. She will forever be a beacon of positivity for all who knew her. In memory of Joan and the indelible mark she left on this world, we walk into tomorrow with heavy hearts, but look back on yesterday with immense gratitude.
