Obituary of Gloria D. Battle

Sodus:  Evangelist Gloria Battle, 74, passed away unexpectedly, early Wednesday morning,
July 12, 2023 at her home. 

She is survived by her loving and supportive husband for 45 years, Leo
Battle Jr.  Her children Patricia Manley-Hall, Gurley Manley III, Cassandra (Gary) Manley–Jackson, Cynthia Battle, Bridget (Mr. Stacey) Britton, and Jonas (Shonell) Battle.  Her siblings Pastor Rosemary (Mack) Cobbs, Ernestine (Sam) McCants, Barbara Smith, Joseph Gilley, Pauline (James) Babers, and Lawrence (DeEster) Gilley.  A host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins.  She is predeceased by her mother and father Annamae and Joe Gilley, Sr., siblings Joe Joe Gilley, Jr., and Anna Lee Gilley.

Friends and family are invited to call Friday, July 21, 2023 10 – 11:30 AM,
at the Redeem Bethel Church, 4496 NY 104, Williamson, NY 14589.  A funeral
service will follow at 11:30 – 1:30PM.  Burial will follow in the Sodus
Rural Cemetery.
