Sodus: Passed away on Monday, March 21, at the age of 87. She was predeceased by husbands, Jacob Vanderbroek and Wilford “Spike” Pettit. Evelyn is survived by her children, Linda (Larry) Barclay, James (Deborah) Vanderbroek and Karen (David) Meneely; grandchildren, Scott (Laura) Barclay, Danielle and Jessica Meneely and Tiffany and Jacob Vanderbroek; great grandchildren, Faith and Anthony Barclay; several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (March 26th) from the First Reformed Church of Sodus on Maple Avenue. Interment will follow at the Sodus Rural Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Sodus Town Ambulance Corp. or to the First Reformed Church of Sodus.
