Mary Jo (Crilly) Bailey
Sodus:
Mary Jo (Crilly) Bailey, 71, of Sodus, NY entered heaven on May 1, 2023 at Wayne County Nursing Home in Lyons, NY.
Mary Jo was born May 27, 1951 in Nebraska City, Nebraska the daughter of the late John H. and Genevieve L. (Burkhiser) Crilly. Mary Jo grew up on a farm in Iowa where she learned to love nature and work hard. She was especially close to her sister Clare. She graduated near the top of her class at St Alberts of Council Bluffs, Iowa. She married Joe Bailey Jr and together they welcomed 10 children into the world. She was a diligent homemaker who homeschooled her children, taught them to read, enjoy nature, and to work hard. Throughout her long battle with Alzheimers she maintained her sweet spirit and loving smile. Mary Jo loved Jesus and knew him as her Savior and friend. She loved to read her Bible and sing hymns. She prayed about everything. Mary Jo's legacy lives on in her children and grandchildren; her adventurous spirit, love for the outdoors, resourcefulness, joyful outlook, and love.
She is survived by her husband of almost 50 years Joe S Bailey Jr and 10 children; Katherine (Adam) Doud, Kara (Franklin) Watts, Dr. Phillip Bailey, Charity(Jonathan) Catlin, Rosemary (Rowland) Norris, Charissa (Andrew) Graves, Allison Bailey, Elizabeth Bailey, Laura (Jonathan) Turk, and Joe (Jena) Bailey.
