Obituary of Joan Frances Lowley

Sodus: Friday, December 30, 2022 – Joan F. Lowley escaped the shackles of this world in exchange for peace and beauty beyond. Born December 14, 1951, to Donald & Betty Lowley of Sodus, she attended Sodus Central School, graduating in 1969, and immediately began working at the Sodus Fruit Farm alongside her older sister Patricia. Joan held several jobs over a forty plus year career with Hanover of Newark and most recently with Dynalec Corp of Sodus.  Her passion for doing the best she could shined through in each job she held. Joan’s spare time was spent caring for the homestead, helping her siblings and friends, gardening and enjoying the outdoors as much as possible.

Joan is predeceased by her parents, Donald & Betty Lowley; brothers, Alfred & Robert; and sister Patricia.  She is survived by her brother, Mark (Diane) Lowley of Marion.

 A remembrance gathering will be held at the Wallington Fire Hall, Friday, January 13, 2023, where friends and relatives are invited to join in the celebration of her life at 11am, followed by a luncheon.
