Obituary of Sandra F Kirin

Sodus: Age 85, passed away peacefully December 28, 2022. She was predeceased by her husband of 50 years, James Kirin, and her granddaughter, Taylor Blair Kirin. A devoted mother and grandmother, Sandra is survived by her loving family: son, Stephen (Wendy) Kirin of Naples; daughter, Tracy (Michael) Pezzimenti of Victor; granddaughters, Sarah Kirin, Madeline (Cain) Wright, Grace and Ava Pezzimenti; great-granddaughter, Blair I. Wright; sister, Phylliss Lent; brothers, Gary (Kate) Featherly, Sonny Featherly; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.  

Sandra worked for the Sodus Central Schools for over 25 years, most of those years spent as the Library Aide in the Intermediate School. She was an avid gardener, winning many awards at the Wayne County Fair for her floribunda roses. Sandra enjoyed traveling with her husband, puzzles, READING (and more READING), her Bridge Club (don’t even think about checking if she is free the third Thursday of the month…she’s not, she has bridge club), and spending every moment she could with her granddaughters. They were her world, and she was theirs. She gave them, and her family, the most important gift, beautiful memories of love and good times shared with all.   

A memorial service will be held, Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 10:00 am at the Sodus Point United Methodist Church, 7490 S. Ontario Street, Sodus Point, NY 14555, for family and friends.  

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the ALS Association, PO Box 37022, Boone, IA  50037-0022 ( www.ALS.org) or to debra of America, www.debra.org dedicated to research a cure for Epidermolysis Bullosa.
