Wolcott: On Saturday March 7th, 2020, Elsie D. Kodweis (81) passed away surrounded by her loving family. Elsie was born on June 10th, 1938, in Spencerport, NY, to John and Violet Marian (Aiken) DeHollander. Elsie worked for Xerox for 20+ years where she was one of the first woman managers. She also worked at the Wolcott Village Pharmacy for over 10 years, delivered flowers, and was a church secretary. Elsie was known for her huge heart, warm smile, and infectious laugh. After retirement she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, watching Turner Classic Movies and snuggling with her many, many animals. (Anyone want a parakeet?) Elsie was preceded in death by her brother, Sheldon DeHollander; sister, Emma Ellen Sue DeHollander; nephew John Barker, and is survived by her son, Patrick Kodweis; grandson, Sean Kodweis; her niece, Marguerite Fleming, sister, Sharon Murray, her sister-in-law Jackie DeHollander, nieces, nephews and many friends. Friends and family are invited to call 3:00pm-5:00pm Sunday, March 15th, 2020 at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street, Wolcott. Her Funeral Service will start promptly at 5:00pm. Interment 10:00am Monday in Glenside Cemetery. Condolences may be expressed at www.hsnorton.com
