Savannah: Passed away on Monday, December 27th, 2010 at the age of 81. Margarete is survived by her daughters, Gabriele (Ronnie) Verkey, and Alice VandenBussche. Margarete was predeceased by her husband Gustav Klotz in 2006; and by her brothers Johann and Gerhardt Pluskwik. Margarete and her husband immigrated to the United States from Germany in 1956, becoming citizens in 1966. She had a life long love of animals, was an avid crafter, made gifts for area friends and nursing home residents, and spent countless hours volunteering at the Newark Manor Nursing Home, and at Friends For The Day in Newark.
Calling hours will not be observed. A private graveside service will be held in the spring at the Butler-Savannah Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be sent to the Humane Society of Wayne County, 1475 County House Road, Lyons, NY 14489. Arr: Norton Funeral Home.
