My heartfelt condolences to the family. I served in the National Guard with Steve many years ago, and got to know him pretty well when we were called to duty during the 1979 New York State Prison Guard Strike. He was a great guy, a good soldier, and had a wonderful sense of humor. There is no doubt that he will be missed by those whose life he touched ... including mine.
