Yes I remember Mrs.Nichols she was my 1st grade teacher 1965-66 what I most remember is the the 8 stitches she gave me when she threw me into to corner of her desk.as I bled so profusely she used my nap blanket to soak up the blood.also the many very hard slaps to my face that are etched in my memory and I’m sure it’s the same for other students.also Pulling of hair was one of her favorites as well.so when I see co workers speaking so well of her and showering her with great praise,I find it rather curious that not a single student has written a single word on this site. This woman was terrible and should never have been allowed near children in any capacity. She should have been sent to prison.

I had the great joy of working with Anne at Wetzel Road Elementary in Liverpool back in the late 1970's and early 1980's. Even better, my daughter was lucky enough to have Anne as her kindergarten teacher. Anne's positive, joyful energy was the very essence of what a kindergarten teacher should bring to the job. Her legacy is very real -- the gift she gave to the hundreds of young people who were guided by her in their earliest years. What a positive legacy she created with her years in teaching!
