Obituary of Charles F. Henry

Henry, Charles F.  age 85 died on July 13th at Rochester General Hospital.  Charles was predeceased by his parents Brayton and Ellen Henry of Copenhagen and his brother John B. Henry of Sodus.  He is survived by his wife of 53 years Frances, his son Gerald Fraynert of Maryland and his daughter April Garcia of Wolcott, 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren, his sister Jean Henry and brother Robert Henry both of Copenhagen, nieces and nephews. 
After high school in Copenhagen Charles joined the US Army and served in Korea.  After being discharged from the services  as a sergeant he came to Sodus where he worked as a meat cutter for Star Market for several years.  He then went to work at Kodak and later IBM where he was a computer operator.  Charles and Frances lived in Williamson, Sodus and Ontario for many years before moving to Virginia in 2011. In 2016 they moved back to Ontario. 
Charles loved hunting and fishing, was a former Boy Scout leader, a former member of the Sodus 1st United Presbyterian church of which he was a long -time member of the church choir, was a former member of the Sodus Masonic Lodge #392 and a longtime member of the Monkey Run Hunt Club in Prattsburgh.  For many years he played bass in several local musical groups.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, July 19th at the Sodus First United Presbyterian Church.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in his memory to the First United Presbyterian Church of Sodus.
