Obituary of Mattie Henderson

Sodus: Born August 27, 1923, she passed on March 1, 2014 at 90 years of age. She is predeceased by her husband Simon “Pete” Henderson; children Theodore Lamb, Larry, Carrie and Evelyn Henderson. Mattie is survived by children Ernestine Dickerson, Herbert Ray, Wilhelmina, Bessie, Vanessa, Herman, Henry, Roy, Gregory, Doreen, Gloria and Roslyn Henderson; sister-in-law Sarah Monroe; 28 grandchildren; 45 great grandchildren; 15 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Friday March 7th from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Redeem Bethel C.O.G.I.C., 4494 Route 104 in Williamson. Funeral Service will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday March 8th at the church. Spring interment will be at the Lakeview Cemetery in Pultneyville. Mattie’s family wishes to thank the staff at the Demay Living Center in Newark, where she had resided since 2008.
