As a child I remember visiting my grandparents.Grandma would always make a full breakfast lunch and dinner. On holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving she would make a huge meal, and invite tons of great people Grandma was always happy and hospitable to everybody. Every time I saw my grandmother she was laughing and joking I don't think I ever saw my grandmother in a bad mood or complaining about anything she was genuinely a nice person. May she rest in peace

I already miss you, your 'warm' smile... our connection there at Huntington that we shared the last week of February... will stay with me the rest of my life. All of your children are truly good people and very successful, because of a proud and wonderful job as our mother.
Always my "beacon" and in my heart, I will love & remember you until we meet again.

I am fortunate to have had the pleasure of knowing Charlotte Russell. I have witnessed first hand her love of playing the piano, her laughter, her love of flowers and her love for all her children who are reflections of the person she was. You carry her with you. My sincerest sympathy to you all.

I have had the pleasure of meeting two of Mrs. Olmstead Russell's sons Herb and Donovan. If the sons are any reflection of the mother, which often is the case with children then I have truly missed out on knowing a beautiful and delightful woman. Any household that is filled with music, great meals, faith, and the joy of Christmas is a place of love. To the entire Russell family I express my sincerest sympathy. Relive those wonderful memories. They are your treasures now.

I'm thankful to have had a mother who was loyal, helpful, supportive,
genuine and proud of family and friends. She wished the best for others, was kind, and thoughtful. Mom was unassuming yet full of talent and wisdom. She exhibited good will, delight and joy. Mom was quick to laugh and infected others with a beautiful smile. She loved and was loved. My mother was a wonderful mother and friend. She will be with me always.

During my childhood, my family lived only 1/4 mile north of the Russell home. My Aunt Charlotte was a wonderful role model for my brother and me. She was kind, joyful, and loving. We would meet at their house for major holiday meals. She was an excellent cook and housekeeper. She also helped as bookkeeper for their Flag business. I loved her smile - so genuine. When she'd smile she would have a sort of twinkle in her eye. - What really impressed me was how she loved Christmas and would send my 4 children gifts each year until they were preteens. She also knew the real meaning of Christmas ... since she professed Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. - I am sure more memories of good times will flood my mind as I pour over old photos. She was a very special aunt to me. I love her and look forward to seeing her again in Heaven someday.
