Obituary of Robert B. Colwell

Wolcott: Passed away suddenly on Tuesday May 28th at the age of 95. A proud World War II veteran, Bob served in the U.S. Army. In June of 2010 he participated on a Honor Flight to the World War II Memorial in Washington D.C. A self-employed contractor, Bob later was employed at Eastman Kodak where he retired from in December 1979. Bob was married to the late Janet Roome on December 24, 1942, Janet passed away on July 4, 1999. He is survived by his daughter Dianne (Gary) Raethka of Sodus; grandson Todd (Andrea) Raethka, their children William, Lillian and Edward; granddaughter Jennifer (Gary) Burlee and their daughter Ashley; and special friend Florence Chapin. Family and friends are invited to call on Saturday June 8th, from 2-4 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott. His funeral with Military Honors will be at 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in the East Williamson Cemetery.
