Obituary of Dora Jane Goodrich

Wolcott: January 19, 2013 at the Blossom View Nursing Home in Sodus. Born in 1934, she was the daughter of Theodore and Eva Shove. Dora spent the majority of her life in the Wolcott and Clyde area. She is survived by her children Larry (Elizabeth) Goodrich, Rodney (Sabrina) Goodrich and Joanne (Roger) Hyde Sr.; grandchildren Larry, Michael, Amanda, Roger Jr., Carrie, Roy, Eric, April, Diane, Jessica, Tabatha, Rodney Jr., Gina, Ronnie, Samantha and Tammy; several great grandchildren; sisters Eva Bacon, Dawn (John) Searor, Kathy (Jack) LaBrake, Shiree Case; brother David Shove; several cousins, nieces, nephews and good friends. Dora was predeceased by her husband Sherman Goodrich, her parents, son Theodore, sister Mary, brothers Bruce and Theodore, and by grandson Jamie. Dora had worked as a nursing assistant at several area nursing homes. She adored her dogs Cuddles and Winkie. Dora was a kind hearted person who would help anyone that she could. She looked forward to family get togethers at her sisters. She was extremely family oriented and never missed a family reunion. She was a huge fan of Elvis Presley. Family and friends are invited to call on Thursday January 24th from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Norton Funeral Home, 5925 New Hartford Street in Wolcott, where her funeral will be at 2 p.m. Interment will follow at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery.
