Obituary of Elizabeth B. Bellinger

Sodus: Age 93 passed away on April 14th at Highland Hospital in Rochester. Mrs. Bellinger was predeceased by her husband Maynard C. “Scotty” in 1963 and by her daughter Ann in 1983. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law James and Cheryl Bellinger of Fairport; grandchildren: Laurie (Daniel) Abramo of Buffalo, Andrew (Tina) Bellinger of Baldwinsville, Robbin (Lenny) Argentine of Oneida; great-grandchildren: Alexis, Anthony and Samantha Abramo, Vanessa and Tyler Bellinger, Anthony Galler, L.J., Ethan and Zachary Argentine; sister, Janet Schonblom of Penfield; brother Donald (Nancy) Baker of Bath; nieces and nephews. Mrs. Bellinger graduated from William Smith College in 1941 and taught in the Sodus Central School district for over 30 years. She was a member of the Sodus United Third Methodist Church for over 60 years, a charter member of the Sodus Women of Rotary of which she was a Paul Harris Fellow, a long-time volunteer of the Myers Hospital Twig Association, the Sodus Library and the Pines of Peace. Calling hours will not be observed. Mrs. Bellinger’s funeral will be held Saturday 11:00 a.m. at the United Third Methodist Church in Sodus . Interment will be at Sodus Rural Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the United Third Methodist Church of Sodus or to the Sodus Library. Arrangements by the Norton Funeral Home of Sodus.
