Obituary of Alfred G. Green Jr.

North Rose: Alfred George Green, Jr., age 90, entered into rest on January 17, 2012. Born April 5, 1921 in Auburn, NY, to Alfred Sr. and Olive Green, Al was a World War II Army veteran having been involved in heavy combat. A member of the V.F.W., Al worked for many years at the Sodus Fruit Farm retiring from Fowler Brothers driving semi, which he loved to do. He loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing and trips to Florida. He is survived by his son Alfred III “Sonny” (Betty) Green; daughters Joanne Green and Shirley (Charles) Roth; grandchildren Stacey, Sarah and Courtney; great-grandchildren Michael, Makayla, Emma, Nolan, Madelyn and Nicholas; siblings Mary, Olive, Faith and Richard; and several cousins. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Ida; grandson Michael Green and siblings Judd, Charlotte, Stanley, Leslie and baby brother Fay. The family suggests planting an apple, cherry or shade tree in memory of Al and remember to be a kind neighbor. May God bless Alfred and Ida together again. A graveside service with Full Military Honors will be accorded at 1 p.m. Saturday, January 21st at the Huron Evergreen Cemetery.
